The other day I had an electrical emergency at a house that I own. It was 6 o’clock and all of the lights were out in this three family house. This also meant that the heating system would not work on this, the coldest day of the season.
I opened the yellow pages and was happy to find numerous listings for electricians with emergency 24 hour service. I called the first one, and they told me that they would have someone get back to me immediately. I was hesitant to call a second one but decided that I should, just in case the first one didn’t get back. I called eleven electricians who advertised emergency 24 hour service. Your firm was the eleventh, and during the half hour that it took to get to your firm, not one of the others called me back.
The woman who answered your phone was courteous and helpful. She said she would dispatch someone, and they would be there within two hours. As it turned out, someone was there within a half hour and did what was necessary to restore power temporarily. He returned the following morning at 9:00 a.m. to make the job permanent. He was a true professional.
Two of the other electricians finally called me back but let me know that they would not have been available that night. I still haven’t heard from the others. I just want to say thank you. You have performed. I don’t think I will be using the yellow pages next time. I’m just going to call your firm.
